Hayao Miyazaki Exhibition
The Hayao Miyazaki exhibit has come to Los Angeles for the first time in history. Miyazaki is a director, animator, producer, screenwriter, author, and manga artist. Miyazaki is also the co-founder of studio Ghibli. Which has given us iconic animated movies such as Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, My Neighbor Totoro, Ponyo, Kiki’s Delivery Service, and so many more. This exhibit will take you into the creation of these animated movies. It places you into the beautiful mind of Miyazaki. Throughout the exhibit there are never before seen in America sketches. As screens play the iconic movies in the background you are given time to process the beauty of the exhibit itself. As quotes from Miyazaki himself are on the walls and the original artwork will leave you in awe.
Throughout the exhibit there are recreated scenes of the movies. For instance, when you enter, a green tunnel will lead you into the world of Studio Ghibli. Then as you leave the exit becomes the entrance of spirited away. Overall the wait is worth it to enter this exhibit specifically, especially for all Hayao Miyazaki fans. This exhibit does have an end date which is June 5, 2022. Make sure to not miss out on the greatness of this exhibit.
