Are you looking to get into the Halloween spirit? Netflix has you covered with Adam Sandlers new slapstick comedy, Hubie Halloween. With the lack of new movies coming from the entertainment industry, Hubie Halloween comes and sheds a little light on these dark times. With actors such as; Noah Schnapp (Stranger Things), Kevin James (Grown Ups), and Paris Berelc (Disney’s Lab Rats), it sets up for a fun, good time with lots of laughs. The film has a very Water Boy and Little Nicky tone to it, so if you’re okay with that type of humor, you’re in the right place.

The film takes place on Halloween night in Salem, Massachusetts. Hubie Dubois (Adam Sandler) is the town’s community volunteer who ensures everyone has a fun and safe Halloween. Unfortunately, the city doesn’t take him so seriously. They often bully him, throw things at him, and make fun of him. It isn’t until Hubie is involved in a real investigation as people disappear in Salem on Halloween night.

The movie isn’t all that bad. It is a lighthearted film that you can watch with your family. Of course, it is PG-13 so expect some adult jokes thrown in the mix and inappropriate behavior. So if you’re tired of the constant reruns of Hocus Pocus, give Hubie Halloween a watch. Hubie Halloween gets a 6.5/10
