CSU/ UC Application Workshops on Campus

The application period to apply to a CSU and UC for the fall 2017 semester began Oct. 1 and will continue until the deadline date Nov. 30.

Workshops to help better structure and organize your application(s) to the universities are available at the Transfer Center in room SS250. The workshops don’t require an appointment, so you can walk in at any point during available hours.

The UC workshop dates left available to attend are Nov. 9 and 14 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., and the 17th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The workshop teaches you how to fill out a UC Online Application and also gives you tips on how to write your personal statement.

The application review and open lab dates are November 10 and 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Nov 21 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., Nov. 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and  Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Transfer Center Lab. Counselors and Transfer Specialists will be available to help answer student questions who are working on an application.

The only CSU overview workshop date left is Nov. 17 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The review session dates are Nov. 21 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., and  Nov. 22 and 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It’s important to note that attending an overview workshop is required before attending a session date. A username and password needs to be created at www.csumentor.edu, and a copy of an unofficial transcript from colleges previously attended is needed as well.

The workshop will help answer any application questions and counselors will not only review the actual application, but will also calculate your transferrable units and GPA.
