NBA: Lakers and Warriors Play Preseason Double-Header
The Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors are two of the best teams in the NBA right now. This past week the two teams met up twice on Wednesday, Oct. 10, and Friday, Oct. 12.
The first game was a high scoring thriller with the Lakers coming on top 123-113. Lakers power forwards Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kozma, and LeBron James finished the game with 26, 22 and 15 points respectively while James nearly finished with a triple double adding 5 rebounds and 10 assist.
As for the Warriors, they seemed to have some flaws – especially on the defensive end.
It seemed like the young fast past Lakers were too much to handle for the Warriors. The Warriors still have great super starts on their team but it seemed like they couldn’t keep up with the young legs.
The second matchup between the two, the Lakers kept a comfortable lead throughout the night. The Lakers once again won improving their record to 2-0 against the Warriors. With Warriors power forward Kevin Durant and James sitting this game out, the arena didn’t have too much excitement to watch besides Golden State point guard Stephen Curry.
The Lakers looked very strong once again and is now looking like the team to beat in the West. The Warriors will disagree as they have won 3 of the past 4 championships. This matchup can be seen a lot this year especially as most expect for them to face off in the Western Conference Finals but until then we will have to wait and enjoy both teams journeys.
