“Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” just hit theaters this weekend and brought $225 million dollars in revenue to the box office. The third installment of the “Ant-Man” trilogy surpassed both previous films, making this the most successful. Yet, with all of this success, the film still did not do well with audience scores.

It makes it the worst rated out of all the movies Marvel has released. Despite it being a vital movie to prepare for Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). And despite the general audience scores and opinions, movie goer and geeky father of mine, Albert Rodriguez, gave his thoughts, “It was a masterpiece! It was epic! It was  visually stunning with great humor. The ‘Ant-Man’ movies never miss, and they just keep getting better.”

Ant-Man and the Wasp find themselves in the Quantum Realm, meeting with new animal. And going on a journey that tests their preconceived notions of what is possible. This movie also introduces Kang the Conqueror, who is supposed to be the new big bad in the film, to set up the new upcoming Avengers film, “Avengers: Secret Wars.”

The Post-Credit Scenes

Without spoiling the entire movie, there are two post-credits scenes. And in one of them it shows the Kang Dynasty, in which numerous Kang variants are shown. This all leads up to the fifth Avengers movie, “Avengers: The King Dynasty,” due out in May 2025. The Avengers will battle Kang and his many variants in the multiversal war.

The second post-credit scene shows another of Kang’s alternate variants, when he established the Wisconsin town of Timely, acting as its mayor and turning it into an industrial hub by teaching its residents about robotics. On the location of Timely, Kang erected his fortress city of Karnopolis. Timely is also a nod to the company. It was known as Timely Comics before changing it to what we know today as Marvel Comics. As a result, Loki and Mobius are dressed in period-appropriate disguises in this scene as they watch Victor Timely make his presentation to the audience. Loki exclaims, “It’s him!” Mobius. However, Mobius is not impressed.
