The staff of Rio Hondo will be coming together on Nov. 7, at Clark Estate in Santa Fe Springs for their All Staff Retreat.

The event will begin at 11 a.m. and go on until 4:30 p.m. with a social hour afterwards where food and drinks will be provided for those who attend.

All staff members are invited to join in the event, the theme being “We are Rio”.

The purpose for the event is to bring staff closer together to give Rio Hondo students the best experience possible.

Staff members will participate in team building exercises and encouraged to take part in the “Rio’s Got Talent” showcase.

The office personnel at the financial aid department are continuously in search of new student scholarships.

The counselors are always available to make sure students have the right tools to succeed in their academic careers.

The staff at the Transfer Center arranges trips for students to visit campuses from all over the state of California.

The Career Center is accessible to the entire student body to find information on possible places of employment.

There are professors who go beyond the call of duty by helping students outside of their office hours and offering Skype hours. They work as motivators for their students.

With every class meeting they bring with them an enthusiasm for learning in hopes of passing it on to the next generation.

Rio Hondo’s staff works as the backbone of the school and if not for their contributions to the school, Rio Hondo would not be what it is today.
