Students who have not applied for scholarships and wish to do so may log in through their Rio Hondo College AccessRio student account.

The deadline to apply for scholarships through the Rio Hondo Foundation is Oct. 27. Any applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.

A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required to apply for any scholarships. However, other scholarships may have a higher GPA requirement.

Completing the FAFSA is also a requirement, along with a 600-900 “Who am I?” essay and a letter of recommendation.

Students are required to meet all of the requirements specific to each scholarship during the semester for which the scholarship is to be rewarded.

Meeting the minimum requirements and scholarship criteria does not automatically qualify a student for a scholarship because some are based on pre-established criteria.

Anyone qualified to apply must keep in mind that changes cannot be made once an application is submitted.

Scholarship awards will be distributed on January 2015.

Any further communication, including scholarship decision letters after application submission will be sent through AccessRio student accounts.
