The Rio Hondo Foundation is once again hosting an evening full of food and wine in the lower quad on May. 2, at 6 p.m.

After 2012’s successful event, “A Taste of Rio” is back to show off its many culinary arts and bring satisfaction to the individuals who will be attending.

This event has brought together board members, professors, and local businesses in the hopes to rally up support for the school and its students.

Many restaurants and wineries have been brought to the campus to showcase their selections and students may take a part by having a silent auction and proving entertainment, similar to 2012’s event.

Like many other events that have taken place on the Rio campus, A Taste of Rio will benefit students and college programs.

The Foundation gathers the funds for this event in order to raise money for student scholarships or necessities needed for school as the student body population continues to grow each semester.

The community can come together once again and continue to manifest its support towards Rio Hondo and all the people within.

Individuals will not only be able to show their support, but everyone can have a good time doing so while enjoying the different dishes available to wine and dine off.

A Taste of Rio welcomes all those who can come in to show support and benefit the entire student body.
