The reward for the capture of a hit and run suspect has been raised from $5,000 to $10,000, after a fundraiser held by the victims family on Aug. 9 at the scene of the fatal collision.

The victim, 20-year-old Daniel Michael Ortiz, was struck and left to die while skateboarding on Studebaker and Foster road on February 9, 2013 at 4:20 a.m

The vehicle that struck the victim has been described as a dark metallic blue Nissan Titan pickup truck, model year 2003 to 2006.
