Family Fun Movies coming soon!

Those who love spending time with their families and watching movies, expect these family-friendly movies coming in between November and December.

First off, if anyone loves turkey, there is Free Birds. This animated movie is a buddy comedy film produced by Reel FX Creative Studios. Jimmy Hayward is directing the film, which will feature the voices of Owen Wilson, Woody Harrelson and Amy Poehler. It will be released on Nov. 1, by Relativity Media.

We also have Frozen, a new film from Walt Disney Pictures. This movie will contain music, fantasy, comedy, and drama. It is very loosely based on Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale The Snow Queen, and will be the 53rd animated feature in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series. The film will feature the voices of Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff, and Josh Gad as well as singing roles. The film is currently scheduled to be released on Nov. 27,.

Lastly, if anyone is familiar with the 1964 Disney classic musical Mary Poppins and would like to know how it all started, prepare for an upcoming biographical drama film called Saving Mr. Banks. This film is directed by John Lee Hancock from a screenplay written by Kelly Marcel. It stars Emma Thompson and Tom Hanks with supporting roles from Paul Giamatti, Jason Schwartzman, Bradley Whitford, and Colin Farrell. Taking its title from the patriarchal character of Mr. Banks, the film depicts author P. L. Travers (Thompson) and her two-week briefing in Los Angeles as she is persuaded by filmmaker Walt Disney (Hanks), in his attempts to obtain the screen rights to her eponymous novel. Walt Disney Pictures will produce the film in association with BBC Films and Essential Media. Theatrical release in the United States is slated for Dec.13, in select cities and in wide release a week later on Dec. 20,.

Also, if anyone loves dinosaur films, you will love Walking with Dinosaurs: The 3D Movie. This film is produced by BBC Earth and based on the 1999 BBC miniseries, Walking with Dinosaurs. It features computer-animated dinosaurs in live-action settings and directed by Neil Nightingale and Barry Cook. The film scheduled to be released in theaters in 2D and 3D on Dec. 20,.
