Rio Hondo held a Transfer Fair in the lower quad on Thursday, September 21. The Transfer Fair, held by the Rio’s Transfer Center, gave students the opportunity to talk to representatives of four-year universities.

Students were able to gather information from plenty of universities and trade schools during the Transfer Fair. Some of the universities that were on Rio’s campus were USC, UC Berkeley, UC Riverside, UCLA, Chapman University, and Whittier College, among others. There was even a representative of the Historically Black Colleges & Universities.

Some of the non-traditional colleges on hand were Otis College of Art and Design, National University, and New School of Architecture and Design.

The Transfer Center at Rio Hondo recommends students to take advantage of these Transfer Fairs when they come around, saying it’s “important to know what you’re getting into” when you apply to a new school.
