Fenty Beauty is it worth it or not?
September 8 took the beauty world by storm. Fenty Beauty was released in 150 countries and had people waiting in line for hours to get their hands on the collection. Fenty, a diverse new makeup company created by pop megastar Rihanna, had a stellar debut and it’s not hard to see why. So for those out there who want to transform their looks, they might as well learn details like What is microblading.
With 40 shades of foundation, blushes, concealers, highlighters, and a universal lip-gloss, Fenty promises to give every single woman the ability to find the perfect shade for their skin. This makeup collection is one of the only ones to have foundations for any shade of woman, including those with albinism. Rihanna states on her website that she wanted her makeup to “feel like skin is actually skin.” The songstress made it her mission to have shades for every single woman out there so that all women can feel beautiful. She focused on having a formula for any skin type and for any tone.

Of course with all the hype, I had to personally find out what the fuss is all about. I purchased the Pro Filter Soft Matte Longwear foundation. This promises a soft matte, long wear foundation with buildable, medium to full coverage. It is resistant to sweat, humidity, and it doesn’t clog your pores. The purpose of this foundation is to make your skin look vibrant and beautiful while still looking like skin.
Personally, this has to be one of the best foundation’s I have ever tried. I have combination skin and it can be hard to find the right foundation. Yet, this foundation made my skin feel great, leaving me with a nice matte finish without feeling heavy.
At first, I applied one layer of foundation and it looked completely natural. This magical foundation covered my imperfections while still having the ability to have my freckles show through. I then applied a second layer to see if it was actually full coverage. I was blown away. It was indeed full coverage without feeling heavy.
The real test came during work, which consists of a six-hour shift ( ToGo specialist at Olive Garden). The foundation didn’t move or disappear with the heat of standing by the kitchen window. It also didn’t drip as I was sweating from running back and forth. This foundation is totally worth the $34.
I absolutely recommend this foundation to anyone who is curious about trying something new without the hassle of being not worth it. It felt nice to wear all day without the heavy feel. Also, aside from its great wear and overall feel, this product also allows one to pinpoint the perfect shade through wide variations of tones and colors. This ‘Fenty’ line is truly unique and exciting. No woman has to ever feel like her color doesn’t exist, or her color is not matchable. Fenty has not only opened the door of color inclusive products for themselves, they have also shown that there is a demand for the wide color range and the excuse of lack of market is not valid.
