On Wednesday, both Roadrunner water polo teams fell to Chaffey College at Rio Hondo’s Aquatic Center. The men’s team came close to victory but the Panthers prevailed 9-11. The women’s side fell 4-8 in each team’s first conference matchup.

The Lady Roadrunners will have a week until their next match while the men’s team have a quick chance to bounce back as they head to Mt. San Antonio College for a weekend tournament starting Friday. Their opponents are yet to be determined.

Like the men’s water polo team, wrestling will be at Mt. SAC on Saturday for a dual tournament to start their season. The men’s basketball squad also starts their season this weekend with the Fall Showcase at Cerritos College.

The Roadrunners are scheduled to play four games with two on Friday and two on Sunday. On Friday, the men tipoff at 6:50 p.m. and 9:10 p.m. against San Diego Miramar and Palomar, respectively, and play Cuyamaca at 9 a.m. and West Hills at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Men’s and women’s soccer will also feature on Friday night with the Lady Roadrunners heading to Ventura College for a 6 p.m. matchup while the men’s side host LA Mission at the same time at The Hondo.
