The NBA trade deadline is the last day teams can make trades with one another. This year the trade deadline was on March 25th. Therefore a couple days before a lot of big trades went down. This due to teams wanting to make the best team they can to try and make it to the playoffs. Some teams that got some star power from these trades are the Nets, Bulls and Heat. As a matter of fact, not that long ago the Nets got Blake Griffin and they just got someone else. These are the most noticeable teams that improved from these trades.

Denver Nuggets

This Denver Nuggets team improved the most in my opinion. They traded Gary Harris, RJ Hampton and draft picks to the Orlando Magic. In return they got Aaron Gordon and Gary Clark. With the addition of Gordon that makes 3 superstars on this team including Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic. It is not just these three players that make this team so good. They have a great supporting cast with Michael Porter Jr., Paul Millsap, and JaVale McGee. Therefore it makes this team a top championship contender.

Miami Heat

The Miami Heat is another team that traded for an all star caliber player. They traded Kelly Olynk, Avery Bradley, and draft picks to the Houston Rockets. The Rockets traded over Victor Oladipo to the Heat. This adds Oladipo next to players like Jimmy Butler, Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo. Another way people can look at this team is basically the team that made it to the championship with the addition of Oladipo. This gives the team to have a fighting chance in the eastern conference against teams like the Brooklyn Nets and the Philadelphia 76ers.

Notable Signings

Lastly the two teams that made last minute signings are the Los Angeles Lakers and the Brooklyn Nets. First the Brooklyn signed veteran LaMarcus Aldridge from the San Antonio Spurs. This means the Brooklyn Nets have the best starting five in the entire NBA. This includes Kyrie Irving, James Harden, Kevin Durant and Blake Griffin. Therefore with this amazing starting lineup comes with high expectations. This means that they will be expected to win a championship this year. Another team that made a big signing was the Lakers acquiring Andre Drummond. This isn’t the biggest signing compared to all the other teams but it is one that helps the Lakers a lot. As a matter of fact, once this team is fully healthy with Lebron James and Anthony Davis back, they will for sure be another favorite to win the title this year. With that being said for now Drummond can help the Lakers while Davis and James are out to maintain a good seed for the playoffs.
