NBA Trade Deadline Headlined by Davis Non-Trade
This NBA trade deadline was something interesting to see. There was many quiet but interesting trades but also a lot of trades we thought would go down that didn’t.
The biggest name we heard of this trade deadline was power forward Anthony Davis from the New Orlean Pelicans, he demanded a trade after spending his whole career with the franchise.
Rumors spread that anthony Davis wanted to join the Los Angeles Lakers and team up with LeBron James in hope of winning a championship. The problem about this trade is that the Lakers have a really young talented group of guys that the Pelicans were not willing to give up for Anthony Davis.
The biggest trade of all and a shocking one came from the New York Knicks and the Dallas Mavericks, the Knicks traded a young super star Kristaps Porzingis, Tim Hardaway Jr (son of legend Tim Hardaway Sr) and trey burks a college championship winner for Deandre JordaN, Dennis Smith Jr, and Welsey Matthews. It’s interesting to see how these players will play with their new teams it can either lead to a step in the right direction or a step back.
From around the league we had interesting trades take place such as Markelle Fultz, a former no. 1 overall pick 2 years ago. He got traded to the Orlando Magic and it, was a great trade for both teams.
The Magic get a young kid looking for a fresh start., As or the 76ers, they get Jonathan Simons a veteran in this league who knows how to play this game to win.
The Toronto Raptors and Memphis Grizzlies traded some players which was benifical for both teams. Marc Gasol got traded to the Raptors for Jonas Valanciunas and CJ Miles two players who have experience and can contribute. As for the Raptors they get a former all star in Marc Gasol.
Another notable big trade was between the Los Angeles Clippers and 76ers. The Clippers got Barbon Marjanvic, a few first round picks as well as Wilson Chandler. The 76ers get Tobias Harris, one of the best small forward playing right now.
