Bragging Rights to the Bruins in College Football’s So Cal Rivalry
Saturday, Nov. 17 in-state rivals University of Southern California and the University of California, Los Angeles faced off at the Rose Bowl with the latter winning 34-27.
UCLA came into the game with a 2-8 record, USC at 5-5 and despite these abysmal records, these schools played hard.
UCLA running back Joshua Kelly rushed for 289 yards 2 touchdowns on 40 attempts.
The UCLA defense held USC to just 4-of-13 on third downs to earn the third win of the season for head coach Chip Kelly’s squad. USC quarterback J.T. Daniels threw for 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions in the losing effort.
UCLA will stay at home next week against Stanford at 3:00 p.m. and will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last.
USC will be playing at home against Notre Dame at at 8:00 p.m. Notre Dame are cruising in on a 11-game winning streak.
