Women’s Volleyball: Roadrunners on the Road
The Rio Hondo women’s volleyball team began November with two away games at Chaffey College and Pasadena City College.
After losing to both teams early last month, the Lady Roadrunners lost with an even wider margin the second time against Chaffey while their rematch against PCC ended 3-0 again.
With a game record of 6-16 overall, it’s been a rough season for the Lady Roadrunners. And with a 1-6 record in the South Coast Conference-North, it looks like this will be the second-to-last game of the season.
The team has one regular season match left tomorrow against East Los Angeles College on the road and sophomore defensive specialist Madelyn Gastelum mentioned how important the team has been to her over her two seasons with head coach Teddo Esko and the Lady Roadrunners.
“She [Esko] cares about the ups and downs that we face in our personal life as well and I really appreciate that too” Gastelum said.
It’ll be the final game of the year at ELAC for a young squad who will be hungry to improve over the offseason.
