Does the government use propaganda to enlist young citizens into joining the military?
In today’s society, young adults are joining the army because they are being manipulated on what the media portrays in video games.
Video games such as “Call of Duty”, “Battlefield”, and “Halo” use terrorism propaganda to make a profit on these games and cause young citizens to enlist into the army.
I honestly think there is no reason to be joining the army because in reality what is the US government fighting for?
The US government is fighting for oil, gasoline and property. Yet the United States government uses excuses to intervene with other countries.
There have been many cases where the United States government intervened with other countries; some examples being Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan.
For instance, back in 2001, the former President of the United States, George W. Bush declared war against Afghanistan, using the 9/11 incident as an excuse to intervene in Afghanistan.
Bush described Iran, along with North Korea and Iraq, as an axis of evil and warned that missiles developed by these countries constituted terrorism and threatened the United States.
My opinion on the 9/11 occurrence is that the US Government staged the whole 9/11 incident.
The reason I say this is because I’ve seen a lot of documentary videos on this tragic incident, and just by watching these videos I noticed that the bombs were already planted on the edges of the building’s floors because the two towers collapsed when every bomb on the edges of the floors exploded.
This lead me to the conclusion that the US government was in on it and that it was just a reason to start a war with Afghanistan.
I honestly believe there isn’t a terrorist group known as Al-Qaeda, nor do I believe there was a criminal named Osama Bin Laden.
These are just fictional characters and organizations used to distract people to only spread hate and to have people live in fear because the government is making people believe that this country is being terrorized.
The U.S. Army makes all these promises that include education, healthcare, vacation time, and cash allowances to cover the cost of living; but are these promises really fulfilled?
As a matter of fact, over the past these promises were broken because numerous veterans were promised these benefits but instead were left unattended in hospitals. Some even became handicapped after sustaining their injuries.
The majority of the veterans became traumatized because of the gruesome things they remember from the war.
I don’t support wars mainly because I feel sorry for the lives lost in the war and the grief and the pain that their families endure as a result.
I think wars have a negative impact on people and it does not contribute to anything rather than killing each other for land and oil.
I think the best way that the U.S. government could make our country a better place, is to stop spending billions of dollars on wars.
Investing in educational reform instead of making cuts to the system and creating more jobs for the people that need them instead of outsourcing jobs to India and China is also another solution.
Lastly, spending money towards research to find ways to cure diseases instead of simply medicating people just for sustainability, and developing ways to make food more organic and available for people’s health would be the best alternative solution instead of spending billions of dollars on a war that does not exist.
Don’t be delusional. It’s all a matter of perspective.
