December 21,2012.The day many have been dreading or anticipating since the Mayans supposedly destined us for doom. Because the Mayan calendar ends on 12/21/12 many believe the Mayans predicted or came up with the theory that the world will end on December 21,2012.
The date has caused quite a buzz throughout the world due to science and spiritual belief. For those who don’t know the story, according to some groups an unseen, uncharted planet called Nibiru will strike earth causing a cataclysmic event resulting in the Earth’s and all its’ inhabitants doom. Sure sounds like it will be a good movie.
Even though scientist and experts have studied the so-called “end of the world”, and pretty much dismissed it, try telling that to the nerds who create websites on doomsday and all the other believers. Shouldn’t there be proof before saying something exists? I would like to think so. Have we forgotten that we’ve been through this situation before; the so-called doomsday or judgment day of the new millennium also known as the year 2000? No computers crashed, and that idea that earth would run dry? Well it rained on News Year Eve 2000. We can just say that without factual proof “doomsday 2012” is false it wont happen. But like always there are the “believers” and “non-believers”.
So I guess all we can do is wait until the calendar hits 12/21/12.
Even with this so called doomsday most people will be thinking about last minute Christmas shopping rather than waiting for the world’s end which really won’t be happening this year maybe eventually but it wont be 2012. So all of you who have planned out your last year on earth just don’t cancel anyone else’s plans for the next year just yet you may end up disappointing them for nothing. So enjoy your last year while I plan out what I’ll be doing for New Year’s Eve and maybe even the rest of the New Year.
