The First Year Success Center is welcoming back Rio Hondo students to a new semester by hosting “Spring Welcome Week on campus starting February 8.

FYSC provides students with a variety of services including:

·        Meet with a Counselor to develop your Educational Plan

·        Receive assistance with class registration and creating your schedule

·        Attend Workshops

·        Assistance with applying for Financial Aid

·        Learn about resources on campus

·        Answers to your college questions

·        Meet with a Student Success Coach for Mentorship, Support & Guidance

“Spring Welcome Week” will give extra support to students in ensuring their academic and personal success for the new Spring semester.

The schedule for “Spring Welcome Week” is as follows:

·        Monday, February 8 & Tuesday, February 9: Stop by the FYSC and get your Student Success Kit

·        Wednesday, February 10: “Between Two Worlds” at 1 p.m. in SS305 Hear from our student panel

·        Thursday, February 11: “Café y Consejos” Grab some coffee and meet with our counselors in the FYSC

·        Tuesday, February 16 & Wednesday, February 17: Review your Syllabi with a Student Success Coach

·        Tuesday, February 23-Monday, February 29: Stop by and receive support to fill out your Financial Aid Application between 8-12 p.m. & 4-7 p.m.
