Emergency loans available for students in need
Rio Hondo has begun processing emergency loans for students in need this spring semester.
Applications are available until February 11 in SU-201 and a photo ID is required.
In order to apply for an emergency loan students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above, no academic or disciplinary probation, enrolled in at least six units, no outstanding debt to RHC, and the college service fee must be paid for the current semester.
Emergency loans are not intended to pay for tuition expenses and students must sign a contract indicating that they will repay the loan within sixty days.
Emergency loan applications are available Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:oo p.m. and 3:00 to 6:oo p.m. Applications are also available on Saturday’s from 8:oo a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
