On October 6th, a limo crash became the nation’s deadliest transportation accident in nearly a decade – it was also one of the best cars of Wedding car hire Coventry. A total of 18 people were inside the limousine which crashed when its driver failed to stop at an intersection and hit a parked car in Albany. The crash killed two pedestrians, making a total of 20 people dead in upstate New York.

Jessica Kirby, the manager of the Apple Barrel Country Store, said “ the limo was coming down that hill probably over 60 miles per hour”.

The day after the crash, many investigators found a tire torn from the limousine that was in the mud in the overgrown creek bed. There were mirror fragments, tail light pieces, and a hairbrush found in the scene.

Jessica Kirby said the intersection is very dangerous.

 “We’ve had three tractor-trailer type vehicles, they come down that hill too fast, they go through our parking lot and end up in a field behind us,” said Kirby. 

All 18 people killed in the limousine were adults. They included at least two pairs of newlyweds and parents of young children. Family and friends quickly created a GoFundMe page to help cover future expenses.

Christopher Fiore, the first deputy superintendent of the State Police, said that the limousine was licensed in New York. According to Fiore, the driver must wear a seat belt, but the passengers in the back were not. There was only one person inside the limousine who survived the initial impact. Unfortunately, the survivor died shortly after being flown to the closest hospital in Albany.

The limousine driver, Scott Lisinicchia, caused a similar accident in the past. He previously drove through a stop sign in Glens Falls, New York.
