On Monday August 20, a commercial fire broke out on Floradale and Thienes in South El Monte, the cause of the fire is still unknown. The fire happened inside a warehouse and collapsed half of the roof. The fire was contained before it could spread. Emergency responders received the call at 6:22pm and immediately arrived to the scene. Fire engines, Paramedics, fire trucks, and urban search and rescue all arrived to the scene as well as the gas company to shut down any near gas pipes. The owner was notified of the fire and arrived to the scene.
