Wing Stop Opens in El Monte
Southern California opened a brand new Wingstop in El Monte, and their residents were standing in line at 10:30 in the morning for its grand opening. From free hot wings to live music; El Monte residents were enjoying an amazing Saturday watching football with their families and eating wings. Many of them were excited about the idea of the grand opening since many residents drive to Whittier or Pico Rivera just to satisfy their wing craving.
El Monte resident Lisette Chavez says, “I feel really great because at least we got free wings right now, that’s pretty cool. I’ve never seen restaurants do that.” The closest Wingstop that Chavez travels to is located in Rosemead, and she will still eat there because she likes the area.
Wingstop owner Sagar Patel said, “I think it’s great for the community, it’s great for the well being, the economy of El Monte.”
Patel went on to say that Friday’s are always busy now that the high school football season started, since kids come in for post-game celebrations. Not to mention the NFL season starting up as well, and bringing with it more customers. Patel says he did not have any obstacles opening the restaurant, as matter of fact, this is his sixth restaurant so far. He says the opening went by smoothly. Opening the restaurant has seemed to have made many El Monte residents happy because it will profit the city and Wing Stop will be the light of that for its variety of wings.
