Free Admission to L.A. County Fair for Rio Hondo Students and Staff
The L.A. County Fair is offering free admission to students currently attending Rio Hondo, as well as current faculty and staff, Thursday, September 22.
Students and staff can receive free entry by presenting their student ID or Rio Hondo business card, as well as a printed coupon for the fair. The coupon is available at LACF.com/CollegeDays. Regular admission price is between $14 to $20 per day and single day parking is $15.
The fair is going to run from September 2- 25 of this year in Pomona. Every year, thousands of Southern Californians flock to the fair for delicious food, carnival games and rides. This year, there are over 300 food options, 40 games and 70 rides.
There are also several new attractions including an ice skating rink, a dinosaur exhibit and a human body exhibit, which cost $5 per person (per exhibit) to attend. The fair’s most popular attraction is the “Farm at the Fairplex”, which features live animals and spotlights agriculture and urban organic farming.
L.A. County Fair also features the End of Summer Concert Series. Sixteen concerts take place throughout the course of the fair featuring performers such as Blondie, Chicago and Iggy Azalea. September 22, Ramon Ayala y sus Bravos del Norte will be performing for an additional price, which ranges from 30 to 95 dollars.
