If you are, Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) is an ideal club to get yourself involved in.This organization is housed by Rio Hondo College and has interest in helping its members succeed in the in the business realm, and increase their overall awareness in the business industry, by providing  “hands on” opportunities to its members. More often then not PBL has guest speakers come into to assist its members. Speakers from colleges such as UCLA come in to inform students  what the college is looking for, and what to expect. Successful stock brokers also come in and give advice to students who are interested in that particular field. The opportunities that this club offers, also mentioned on their website, include:

• Develop competent, assertive business leadership.
• Strengthen the confidence of students in themselves and their work.
• Create more interest in and understanding of the American business enterprise.
• Encourage members in the development of individual projects that contribute to the improvement of home, business, and community.

• Develop character, and foster patriotism.
• Encourage and practice efficient money management.
• Encourage scholarships and promote school loyalty.
• Assist students in the establishment of occupational goals.
• Facilitate the transition from school to work.
   Meetings are held every Wednesday in room B119 from twelve forty five till one thirty in the evening.  PBL strives to be the best organization on campus while offering its support and services to neighboring clubs. PBL is a strictly professional organization and has a Zero Tolerance policy for those who poison the organization’s health and image. If all this sounds interesting  to you  feel free to meet people with your common goals and succeed together. As Vice President Christopher Romero said, “You can’t sore with the eagles if your hanging around with the chickens” .
