5 things to do in LA on St. Patrick’s Day
The St.Patricks day at the farmers market
The original farmers market in Los Angeles will host an all day event in celebration of the holiday. Irish folk bands and bagpipers will be roaming the area. The restaurant, Magee’s Kitchen, will be serving traditional Irish foods. They will serve corned beef, cabbage, and green beer.
St.Patrick’s day Pub crawl
The pub crawl in Downtown LA will have guests bar hopping to ten different bars. They will have welcome shots given at check-in, free entry to the venues, and discounted drinks available at the bars participating. The event will be from 2 to 8 PM on March 16-17. Early purchase tickets are $26 and day of tickets are $31.
Watch a concert at the Hollywood Palladium
The Irish-American celtic punk band, Flogging Molly, will take the stage at the Hollywood Palladium. In addition, the venue will also host a block party before the show. They will have games, food, and Guinness beer. Entry is free with an RSVP.
Downtown LA street festival
Casey’s Irish pub will again host their annual St.Patrick’s Day Street Festival. Early admission to the bars will begin at 6 AM. The festival is expected to end at 2 AM, but will begin at 11 AM. The all day and night festival will have a variety of alcohol and will have local DJ’s and bands perform throughout the festival. Admission after 11 PM is $20, otherwise it is free admission.
St.Patrick’s Day Parade
The parade will begin at 11 AM on March 16th and will be held in Hermosa Beach. The seven-block route will feature bagpipers, marching bands, horses, and floats. 100 schools, businesses, and groups will march in celebration of day.
