Australia Feels Recoil Towards R&B Singer R. Kelly
Chicago Singer R.Kelly is receiving some major backlash for the allegations against him that were aired in Surviving R Kelly. A documentary released January, containing detailed accounts of his alleged physical and emotional abuse of women.
The R&B singer shared on social media and twitter that he will be touring as “The King of R&B” in a venture that is promoted by Flamingo Dreamz. Many expressed anger and said he is not welcome in their countries such as Australia. R. Kelly later deleted the posts made on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram about his tour alert.
According to BBC, Australia’s opposition Labor party released a statement saying the singer should not be permitted to enter the country. Australia has denied a visa to Boxer Floyd Mayweather for family violence convictions. And once before to Chris Brown for his history of domestic violence. So it is feasible for Australia to bar entry to R. Kelly.
Singer R Kelly is planned for a new tour of Australia, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka. Though he has not been convicted of any crimes in connection with the abuse claims.
