The Oscar Nominee Gets Its Own Day In LA
Commemorating Pixar’s nineteenth film ‘Coco’ Los Angeles will name February 27th Coco Day. The film reflects the Mexican holiday of Dia De Los Muertos. Coco will be honored on the day of the Blu Ray and DVD release.
Coco has amassed a huge fan base because of its beautiful story of family and catchy soundtrack. Songs like Un Poco Loco and Remember Me will be performed at the ceremony by the all female mariachi The Mariachi Divas.
Gil Cedillo, an LA councilman, will lead the ceremony at 9 AM at city hall. In attendance, Director Lee Unkrich, Producer Darla K. Anderson, and voice of Miguel, Anthony Gonzales. This is sure to cause a huge turnout for this event. This ceremony is also just a few days before the 2018 Academy Awards where Coco is nominated for Best Animated Picture and Best Original Song. The film is predicted to win Best Animated Picture racking up another win for Pixar Studios.
