Xbox on iOS?

Last month, the Xbox game-streaming service, Game Pass, was released for Android phones. It hasn’t been available for iOS yet because Apple prohibited it from the App Store. Apple wants the games to be listed individually instead of all of them together. Now Microsoft is planning a web-browser version that can work on iPhones. Microsoft is planning to bring the Game Pass to iOS next year.

The Game Pass offers gamers a variety of games to choose from. It is similar to Netflix because there are lots of games to choose and play. If the user has good internet connection, they will be able to launch the game data. When it was first going to get launched, Apple said that their app store rules require that games be downloaded individually in order to have a game review about it.

Although Apple isn’t allowing it, the head of Xbox, Phil Spencer says “We absolutely will end up on iOS with Game Pass.” Android users have access to Game Pass. Subscribers can stream many games on their phones or tablets.

In addition, Google and Amazon have game-streaming services. Amazon’s game streaming service Luna, worked with Apple to make it possible for iOS. Google’s service is Stadia. It is available on PCs and Macs through the Chrome web broswer. Stadia is not available for iPhones or iPads. However Luna does work for iPhones and iPads.

Game Pass or Stadia are allowed to offer their game streaming services, but only if games are listed individually and with their own app. Apple doesn’t want to allow a service like Game Pass and Stadia because it is similar to their own service, Apple Arcade.
