Stephen Curry and the Warriors are uninvited to the White House

Stephen Curry showed hesitance in accepting his invitation to the White House, prompting President Donald Trump to withdraw the offer.

“Going to the White House is considered a great honor for a championship team. Stephen Curry is hesitating therefore invitation is withdrawn.”said  Trump on Saturday, September 23.

During a press conference after the Warriors first training-camp practice, Curry stated that it was funny Trump sent the tweet before the team had a chance to talk about visiting the White House. According to the NBA team, the invitation to the White House was never really extended. The Warriors organization related a statement saying they accept that the President does not want them there. Instead, they are going to use their trip to visit to the nation’s capital in February to celebrate equality.

Players like Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, and Magic Johnson have tweeted in support of Curry. James said that Trump was a “bum” and visiting the White House was an honor until he won the presidency.

Curry’s stance on Trump’s “damaging” representation of the country and its people remains the same.
