This week, one of EDM biggest DJs Kaskade announced his ticket release for his upcoming tour “Redux”. When tickets hit the internet September 18 the website was slow and laggy.  Fans quickly learned that servers went down as soon Kaskade released the link.  Kaskade took to Twitter tweeting out how Huntington Beach “broke the internet”. Tickets sold out within 15 seconds as soon as the servers were fixed and the link was reposted. The tour includes 12 cities in the U.S. from September 27th to November 10th, and New York city is still TBA.

Some Fans were awake for hours prior to the link opening to ensure that they would get a ticket. Fans missed their chance to purchase a ticket when servers went down and were upset.  The Tour has a ticket maximum to purchase tickets.

These types of events are notorious for groups or companies to buy tickets in bulks and resell them for prices well above face value. Artists can try to minimize the trouble fans have with this but it isn’t always preventable. Kaskade advised fans to not buy tickets from third party websites, as you never know if they are real or not.

Kaskade also included that bots did not buy a mass amount of tickets. The tickets you see on websites that have a ton of tickets are fake and to be aware. He let them know that there will be more shows in the future and to just wait. Most artists add another show on the tour if tickets sell out too quickly, so its best to keep an eye out.

The venues selected for this tour are meant to hold people in the hundreds not the masses. Kaskade tweeted out that the tour was designed to be small and intimate. Kaskade announced before Redux tickets went on sale that he was going to play a lot of his old music. The name Redux comes from when he was an up and coming artist. Now he is coming back to his roots and only the people who have tickets will be able to experience this. A tour that symbolizes his success with music that put him on the platform that he is on now is a can’t miss event. By doing so, the venues are small to recreate the atmosphere when he was coming up.
