Chicharito Hat-Trick as La Galaxy Beat New York Red Bulls

MLS is Back

The MLS is back and one of the biggest stars in the MLS, Javier “Chicharito” Hernández has just had one of the best games in his career. La Galaxy hosted New York Red Bulls. In a very close game, La Galaxy came out victorious in a 3-2 victory. Undoubtedly, the man of the match was Mexican striker Chicharito Hernandez. Javier Hernandez was under a lot of pressure after a very underwhelming debut season in Los Angeles. Chicharito was left with huge boots to fill, as he was brought in to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez in Great Form

In the opening two games of the MLS season, Hernandez has lived up to those expectations. Chicharito scored a brace in the opening game of the season against David Beckham’s Inter Miami. Chicharito has become the player he is today due to his awareness inside the box. He is a natural born poacher and these last two games have proven he has still got it. Both of his goals against Inter Miami were inside the 6 yard box, as that is where he has scored the most goals in his entire career. Scoring a brace is hard to beat but he did even better the following week.

First Club Hat-Trick

Against New York Red Bulls he scored his first professional hat-trick at the age of 32. His first goal was once again a poacher goal inside the 6 yard box. His second however, was a well timed run behind the defenders. He controlled the ball perfectly and slotted the ball past the keeper. His third goal was a scissor kick right in front of the goal to top off an outstanding performance. La Galaxy face Seattle Sounders on Sunday May 2, as Chicharito looks to add to his five goals he has so far.
