European Super League

What is the Super League?

Without a doubt the world has been shocked over the formation of the European Super League. The founding clubs involved include the big 6 of England; Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, and Tothenham. As well as; Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico de Madrid, Juventus, Milan, and Inter de Milan.

The Premier League has come out and stated that any club that decided to join this Super League will face severe punishment. Uefa have also stated, every club that participates in the Super League will be banned from European, and World competition. As well as possibly even banning players from playing in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

UEFA’s Response to the Super League

These statements by the European Super League have received extreme backlash from millions of people online.

Florentino Perez, current president of Real Madrid and set to be the first president of the European Super League has stated that they believe the Super League will go through. If Uefa proceed to ban these clubs from their competitions then Florentino will create his own leagues. Florentino Perez has proposed the idea of creating his own World Cup.

Arsenal, Tothenham are just some of the teams that have been invited without having any sort of form over the last 5-10 years. Arsenal, Tothenham, Manchester United, Milan, and Inter Milan have not made a good run in the Champions League. Clubs like Atalanta and Leicester City have not been invited to the Super League

Who will not participate in the Super League

On the other hand, German and French clubs have pulled out of the idea of the European Super League as they believe the clubs should be run by the fans, not by the rich who own the clubs that know nothing about football.

This European Super league is a disgrace to all football fans. There is no consideration to the fans of these clubs. This league will be about one thing and one thing only and that is money. The rich are getting richer and the fans are not even getting a look at.
