International Friendly: Mexico vs Argentina Preview

Mexico national team will face off against Argentina in a friendly match today at Alamodome Stadium in Texas.

The Mexicans are unbeaten in 2019 with eleven wins and won the Gold Cup in the summer in the United States. “El Tri” are playing well with their new players Uriel Antuna and Erick Gutierrez, who scored last Friday against the Americans. Mexico ended up winning the game 3-0 last Friday. Mexico’s manager Gerardo Martino has made progress so far, but now he will have his toughest test versus Argentina.

Argentina on the other hand, has been inconsistent defensively and offensively throughout the year. Their star player Lionel Messi will miss the match due to an injury. La Albiceleste comes in to this match with many doubts after drawing 0-0 with Chile last Friday.

Mexico hasn’t been able to beat the South American giants in 15 years. The last time Mexico beat Argentina was in the 2004 Copa America in Peru with a score of 1-0. Agrentina has an excellent record against Mexico with 15 wins, 14 draws, and five defeats. Last year La Albiceleste faced the Mexicans twice and won both matches 2-0 in Argentina.

Although Argentina comes in with many doubts, they always manage to complicate things for Mexico. In games like these, in doesn’t matter how you go into the game. What matters is what you do on the pitch. They are always great games to watch, and this one will not be different.
