“DAMETIME” in Portland

With a trip to the Western Conference Semi-Finals on the line Damian Lillard came to the rescue for his team. Up 3-1 in the series, Tuesday’s playoff game against the Thunder was a must-win to get some quality rest. The game went back and forth for almost 4 quarters until the Thunder got hot late in the 4th. The Blazers of course came back and made it a tie game with about ten seconds to go. In the final seconds Russel Westbrook missed a crucial layup in which the Blazers were able to gain possession and get the ball into the hands of Damian Lillard. During those last ticks on the clock Lillard took the clock all the way down and chucked up a 37 foot series winning three in Paul Georges face. This amazing shot wasn’t something new for Lillard. He did the same thing in 2014 with a buzzer beating three with 0.9 seconds left to win the 1st round in 2014. Just to add more context to Damien Lillard’s amazing night, he scored a career playoff high 50 points.
