Women’s Basketball: LATT Beavers Bite Through Roadrunners

Rio Hondo suffered a tough lose Wednesday, Feb. 13 against LA Trade-Tech.  The Roadrunners proved to be outscored every quarter with 58-28 at the end of the first half and finished the game 109-60.

Both schools had similar field goal percentages, with Rio Hondo ending the game at 44.8% and LA Trade-Tech at 44.4%. LA Trade-Tech beat the Roadrunners in every possession. LA Trade Tech dominated in threes 42.4% and Rio Hondo at 0 percent. Rio Hondo was again outnumbered in rebounds 53-41 and had more turnovers with 35-17.

Rio Hondo’s Candace Black finished the game with seven points, six rebounds, and two assists. Amy Navarro added 12 points and five rebounds while Robyn Quintana had nine points, four assists, and three rebounds.

This was a disappointing loss for Rio Hondo after coming up on top against the Pasadena Lancers last Friday night that snapped their two game losing streak. The Roadrunners current record is 15 wins and 12 losses.
