Alex Campos homered twice for Rio Hondo and helped the Roadrunners defeat Victory Valley, 8-0, Wednesday afternoon in “The Jungle”.
Rio Hondo had taken both games they had played against Victor Valley earlier in the season, and made it three-for-three as they thrashed the Rams and improved their winning streak to three straight games.
Campos played first base for the Roadrunners and had a perfect game at the plate, getting four hits in four at-bats, driving in five and hitting two homeruns.
Miguel Gonzalez got his fourth win of the season for Rio Hondo as he hurled six innings of four hit ball, and struck out six while walking two.
The Roadrunners improved their record in the Foothill Conference, but remain in fourth place while still having three games in hand.
Rio Hondo will play a three-game series against Barstow on March 25, 27, and 29.
