The Knights beat the Baldwin Park Braves in a battle in which the Braves were defeated 56 to 53, in a dramatic fourth quarter ending with the fans holding their breath in the last minutes.

The Braves started the game with their defense out to test the Knights offence. The knights quarterback Nathan Coto got picked in their own 30 by the braves which the braves offence made a touchdown to lead start the game with the lead 7 to 0.

The second drive of Knights went down with a punt which the offence of the Braves went down to score another touchdown but missed the field goal.

The Knights looked bad but it didn’t stop the Knights from bouncing back. As the game looked like the Baldwin Park Braves were going to take it the Knights offence stepped up and scored to be behind 13 to 7.

The Braves were in the red zone and went for it on fourth and six and got shut down by the Arroyo defense.

The two teams stopped each other with six minutes left a 30 yard run by the Arroyo running back scores to lead for the first time making it 14 to 13.

The first half was ending with three minutes left the Braves score to take back the lead making it 20 to 14.

Arroyo got the ball back with two minutes left and took it down to score before the first half ended to take the lead back 21 to 20.

The second half started with the Braves scoring 27 to 21.

The two teams were scoring back to back with the third quarter ending, the Braves lead 40 to 35.  The Knights had the ball staring the fourth and drove it all the way to get the lead 42 to 40.

The Knights looked like they would pull away as they scored to make it 49 to 40.

The braves wouldn’t give up scoring and trying an onside kick but didn’t get it as the knights recovered.

They knights drove it to score and lead 56 to 46.

As the game looked over the braves scored to make it 56 to 53.

The Braves did an onside kick again and failed as Arroyo ended winning the game 56-53. The Knights go to the second round of the CIF playoffs to play Shurr.
