Apex Legends hits 50 Million players in First Month

Apex Legends the newest game in the battle royale genre has continued to break records. Just this week Respawn announced that they reached 50 million players registered for the game. The numbers have been consistently on the rise within the four weeks it was released. Even within the game’s first eight hours of launch, it had a total of 1 million players. The only stat that has not been seen yet is the concurrent player base, but the first weekend showed a total of 2 million players online at the same time.

These numbers are also much more interesting when compared to main competitor Fortnite. Both see an immense amount of players and follow the same formula of free to play. Roundhill Investments also made a graph to compare both games in growth. Keep mind that there is still a lot of other factors to take in as which game is seen as most popular.

“$EA has a certified hit on its hands. #ApexLegends continues to grow it’s player count at a faster rate than Fortnite’s launch.
50 million in 28 days.”

Even though it may seem that Apex is winning people shouldn’t count Fortnite out. The future can only tell which one will end up on top.
