Super Bowl’s most eye- catching commercials for 2017

Skittles, Hyundai, and Budweiser make some of the most iconic commercials in Super Bowl history.

The New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons had fans sitting at the edge of their seat, leaving little time to eat or use the restroom. This left some fans with the lack of knowledge of the top super bowl commercials as they ran to the restroom any chance they got. However, one should never lack knowledge especially with the topic that strangers, friends, and families will be discussing. We will cover some of the most talked about commercials, while comparing others such as top competitors like Hyundai and Ford.

Amongst the many commercials airing during the super bowl, it was no surprise to catch Skittles being thrown in the mix. Skittles has become a company known for their delicious candy, but even more iconically outside of the box commercials. The commercial takes a romantic comedy approach and instantly brings smiles to the fans faces. Skittles decided to take the cliche approach of throwing stones at your lovers window, but added a twist to the skittles being everyone’s midnight snack. In this case everyone deserves to eat skittles and the audience could not help but to chuckle at cliche twist.

As each commercial aired there were a handful of car commercials, but the one who stood out of the many was Hyundai. The entering shot begins with a bird’s eye view of a military base, hinting our troops give us the privilege to have the protection to watch the super bowl. Some of the commercials shots show some of the troops watching the game and giving them the opportunity to see their family via Skype. While all of this is taken place director Peter Berg decided to film with a 360 camera. This gave the fans a sense of the heart ache of what these troops go through each day showing every emotion through this shot. Fans had no knowledge this was a car commercial until the letters Hyundai appeared towards the end. This commercial was a great car commercial that trumped over all the others such as Ford, Kia, and Alfa Romeo without even showing a single car.

Lastly, the commercial which caught everyone’s eye was Budweiser. This commercial gives a glimpse of how Budweiser was first started. One of Budweiser’s founders was an immigrant that pursued his dream of moving to the United States were he met his future partner. Budweiser shows that without one of the founder’s migrating the creation of Budweiser never would have happened, which can be relevant to many super bowl viewers. Through, this commercial it brought a push to a political conversation of immigration. Budweiser took the extra step to bring a political step into their commercial which leaves them rightfully in the top three super bowl commercials along side with Hyundai and Skittles.
