Rio Talks Speaker Series Event with Dr. Angela Williamson
Rio Hondo College is excited to announce our RIO Talks Speaker Series Event “Activism Never Sleeps” with Dr. Angela Sadler Williamson. She will be speaking on February 22nd from 3:30-4:30 pm.
About Her
Williamson earned her doctorate in Human Services from Capella University, Minneapolis, Minnesota. With over 25 years of experience in communications, marketing, and public relations, Williamson hosts the show “Everybody with Angela Williamson” on KLCS PBS. Her show emphasizes the arts, people, and diversity within education. In 2018, she released her award-winning documentary “My Life with Rosie” based on her cousin, Rosa Parks.
After her documentary’s success, she released a best-selling children’s book, “My Life with Rosie: A Bond Between Cousins” on June 18, 2020. She also participated in Facebook Lives regarding her book. Her documentary and book can be found on Amazon Prime.
