Latino Heritage Month at RHC
Rio Hondo will be holding festivities on campus in honor of Latino Heritage Month on Oct. 6.
In an effort to to celebrate Latino heritage and culture, students will be able to enjoy Salvadorian food tasting, arts & crafts, cultural dance performances, and more.
The festivities will take place at the lower quad on campus from 11 am – 1 pm.
An additional poetry reading led by Professor Mariano Zaro will also take place in room 201 of the Student Union at 12:30 pm.
A similar event was held last year on campus during Latino Heritage Month, however it took place on a weekend.
This year’s festivities allows students to take a break from class and discover more about the Latino culture, while also enjoying great food and entertainment.
