ASRHC to hold events of Domestic Violence and Breast Cancer Awareness

ASRHC will soon charitably provide insight on the two awareness themes that associate with the month of October: domestic violence and breast cancer.

On Tuesday, Oct. 15, there will be an informative resource fair from 11 a. m. to 1 p. m. in the Middle Quad. Students and faculty are encouraged to stop by and pick up information, as well as to honor loved ones who have been affected by breast cancer or domestic violence by writing a message that will be posted in the Student Union. Be sure to wear pink or purple to show support.

Thursday, Oct. 17 will feature a special guest speaker from the American Cancer Society, Joni Tsuji. She will be sharing her inspirational story of fighting breast cancer.

On Thursday, Oct. 24, a domestic violence presentation will be held in SU201 between 12 p. m. and 1:30 p. m. Mary Case, Program Coordinator of the L.A. Gay and Lesbian Center will share “The effects of domestic violence and the LGBTQIA Community” as an adult-purpose presentation for students and staff.
