New ambassador program introduces students to government and community relations

The Office of Government and Community Relations has selected five students to serve as 2013-14 ambassadors in a new program called G.R.A.C.E., which is an acronym that stands for Government Relations Ambassadors for Community Events.

Through this experience, G.R.A.C.E. students will learn what is needed to maintain healthy government and community relations at Rio Hondo College.

This program provides out of class “praxis” experience for students to complement their classroom learning.

With implemented hands-on experience, G.R.A.C.E. students can learn more information about the public relations field and determine if this remains a desired career aspiration of their futures.
