The first-ever Rio Rally, which was sponsored by the Associated Students of Rio Hondo College (ASRHC), occurred Oct. 24 from in the Lower Quad in front of the Learning Resource Center (LRC)

The event was used to honor all the official fall 2012 athletic teams at Rio Hondo College, and have them enjoy some food, and compete against each other in fun interactive games like soccer, volleyball, and basketball shootout.

Athletic teams that were attendance were Women’s Volleyball, Men’s Soccer, Women’s Soccer, Men’s Wrestling, and Men’s Basketball.

Also for Rio Rally, it was Jersey Day, so all RHC students were encouraged to wear their favorite sports team jersey to show their athletic team spirit.

Rio Rally was made possible by the hard work and effort of the Senator of Campus Engagement, Elmer Orellana, and the rest of the Senate.
