Valentine’s Day falls on Feb. 14 of every year. This one day is when individuals, young and old, celebrate romantic love, friendships, and admiration for one another.

The Associated Students of Rio Hondo College (ASRHC)  hosted an event on Valentine’s Day called D.I.Y Valentine’s Day from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in front of the Student Union.

They offered free heart-shaped donuts, cookies with heart sprinkles, and mini pink cupcakes. They gave students the opportunity to stop by and make valentine grams for their friends and loved ones. A member of the ASRHC, Pamela Nunez stated, “I love Valentine’s Day because it’s pink.”

The Associated Students of Rio Hondo College is a student representative organization that is made up of students. These students serve as the student voice throughout the college. They improve the campus environment and overall college experience by uniting the student’s needs and concerns with the administration, faculty and staff.
