Edibles such as gummies or something simple as a pill is a few options without the high. There’s an abundance of options, but if you’re feeling open and want to experiment, you can mix CBD Cream with your Starbucks coffee (baristas tend to overdo the espresso shots). Cady Drell from Marie Claire spoke with Dr. Bonni Goldstein, MD, the medical director of Canna-Centers about the effects of mixing CBD with coffee.

Drell says, “It’s unclear at this point in time the exact interaction between CBD and caffeine,” she said. “At low doses, CBD is a stimulant and in higher doses, it can cause sedation. Someone’s reaction to a combination of these compounds would not be easily predictable because various doses of each would affect the response.”

The end result

Depending on the doses, it doesn’t provide an accurate result on the mixture and can cause a different effect for anyone in some cases.

Writer Erin Magner from Well+Good says some people report that mixing CBD with coffee can increase alertness and ease down the harsh effects of caffeine. anxiety is the last thing to experience when downing a few espressos.

“What I hear from people is that they’re able to experience that nice, alert, focused energy of coffee without any of the jitters,” Jewel Zimmer, founder of cannabis and CBD oil brand Juna, told Well+Good.

CBD product developers are producing innovating edibles from the hemp plant. If mixing it with coffee isn’t for you, there are other options out there.
