Look Great, Feel Great, Be Great!

Body-&-Mind-Header Staying healthy is fun and easy! There are tons of ways to stay healthy, from dancing, Zumba, sports, yoga, and hiking. I could go on and on but then this would be a never ending article. One new thing that I’ve decided to try is Pilates.

One word to describe how I feel about Pilates. Simply Ahhh-mazing! Not only does it workout your abs, but it can also ease back pain, improve an athlete’s performance, enhance your brain power and flexibility, not to mention, that it’ll bring peace and inner happiness.

Keeping your mind positive rather than negative is always the goal. Being able to learn to control your own thoughts and emotions is another goal people should aim for but many times do not. Since I started taking Pilates classes, I can actually say that I have seen and felt a change within me.

If you ask me I’d say these are all gains. Who wouldn’t want to be healthy have a strong core, become flexible and boost your knowledge? Another thing that I love about Pilates is the meditation that comes with it. Meditation is great for because it relieves stress, can help improve grades, helps you sleep better and can make you feel great.

One of the great things about Pilates is that you can even do it out of the comfort of your own home. So not only is it fun, easy and comfortable but it is also very affordable for us starving students. You can go on the internet and learn it on your own, or you can sign up for free classes at any of your local gyms.

Working out feels great especially when you do it with a buddy, so grab a pal and get fit together. 24 Hour Fitness offers a three day free pass for you and if you’d like to bring a friend, in case you just want to check out the free classes and see how you like them before committing to it, this is the way to go.

Pilates trains your brain. Not only does it enhance your knowledge but helps your memory. Scientists have proven that the exercises done in Pilates works out and creates new brain cells. A peaceful calm and collected mind, might actually be the key to what us students need after long stressful days in school.

Keeping your mind positive rather than negative is always the goal. Being able to learn to control your own thoughts and emotions is another goal people should aim for but many times do not. Since I started taking Pilates classes, I can actually say that I have seen and felt a change within me.

I walk out of every Pilates class, feeling brand new, as if the all the weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I definitely recommend Pilates for everyone and anyone who wants to try it. You have nothing to lose but plenty to gain.

Pilates provides power and posture and that alone is a confidence boost. With Pilates you can get both of these things. Pilates will not only have you looking amazing with your fantastic sculpted body, but it will also bring positive energy and inner serenity.
