Grape Seed Oil? Oily Face? What?!

Ever heard of grape seed oil?, me neither. Not for a long time until I read about it recently.

It was this year through beauty blogs, which I stumbled upon it while looking through the various facial oils that were present on the website, totalbeauty.com where I found it.

The reason why I happened to stumble upon it was because of my problematic skin. Specifically acne being the case and I hated that I couldn’t find anything to help remedy the condition until I landed on the totalbeauty site.

On the webpage for their “9 Best Oils for a Perfect Complexion,” I looked through the page until I came upon the grape seed oil, which looked perfect for my skin.

The page mentioned that this oil was best for oily skin according to Dawn Davis who wrote that this oil is fine for those with or without acne but works mainly for those with an oily complexion. But her comment didn’t do it for me, so I looked into details about what grape seed oil can do and it’s benefits of it for the face.

After searching many webpages, I stumbled upon a website called grapeseedoilforskin.com. The webpage stated that it (grape seed oil) could get rid of acne, but how? After reading the page I learned that it is due to the linoleic acid in the oil that helps strengthen cell membranes and improve the skin at the same time. I give thanks to this fatty acid, that it can be a possible solution to curing various skin ailments including acne.

Another acne-skin benefit about this oil is that it helps prevent pore clogging due to its antioxidant content. Grape seed oil also has the ability to tighten the skin thanks to its astringent abilities.

This astringent ability works to tighten the skin by stimulating your biological tissues to make it contract and close in on each other. For those who suffer from panda eyes or dark circles under the eye, grape seed oil may help minimize this appearance by brightening them up with the compounds in the product.

If you’re possibly looking for skin hydration, grape seed oil awesomely moisturizes the skin without leaving any shiny residue after application due to it being a light oil.

If you know what free radicals are, grape seed oil is also able to protect your skin from those too. Free radicals are said to be responsible for a number of diseases. Now after reading about all these great benefits let’s talk about how you apply it to your skin.

Thankfully, the webpage itself showed the two detailed steps required to apply the oil.

The first step is to place a few drops of grape seed oil in the palm of your hands and then rub your palms together.

The second and final step is to massage the oil onto your face. Depending on your skin type, you may require a different amount of the oil.

A side tip: If you don’t have a dropper included with your grape seed oil bottle, buy a glass dropper bottle with a dark tint. Place your grape seed oil into the bottle to effectively use drops precisely.

Optional step: If you have dark circles, apply the product under your eye daily to effectively get results.
